ABOUT PETER BRAUER

Helping organizations understand — and grow — the real value of their technology.

Technology is everywhere, but the ability to measure what it actually delivers is still surprisingly rare. Most organizations track activity, spend, and outputs, yet struggle to answer a simple question: What value are we truly getting from our technology investments?

That question has shaped my entire career.

I’m Peter Brauer — a Business Transformation Architect focused on helping enterprises make technology value visible, measurable, and manageable. I created the Enterprise Yield System (EYS) and the frameworks behind ETVY and Yield‑Ops™ to give leaders a clearer way to understand how technology contributes to outcomes.

My work sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture, AI strategy, FinOps, and value governance. I help organizations move from reactive reporting to intentional, yield‑driven decision‑making.

My Mission

To make it easier for leaders to see where technology is creating value — and where it isn’t — so they can invest with confidence.

That means:

  • Bringing clarity to complex environments

  • Connecting architecture to business outcomes

  • Highlighting value signals that often go unnoticed

  • Helping teams shift from cost‑centric to value‑centric thinking

  • Building operating models that scale with AI and automation

I believe organizations don’t need more dashboards — they need better insight.

What I Do

I work with executives, architects, and transformation teams to:

  • Build yield‑driven operating models

  • Design AI‑aligned enterprise architectures

  • Improve technology investment visibility

  • Strengthen value governance

  • Reduce tech drag and unlock capacity

  • Translate architecture into clear, executive‑ready narratives

Whether the challenge is modernization, AI adoption, or portfolio clarity, my goal is simple: help organizations get more from the technology they already have — and invest smarter in what comes next.

My Frameworks

ETVY — Enterprise Technology Value Yield

A practical model for understanding how technology contributes to value.

Yield‑Ops™ — The Operating System for Technology Yield

A discipline that brings architecture, FinOps, AI, and value governance together.

Enterprise Yield System (EYS)

A patented approach for generating proactive value indicators using enterprise signals.

These frameworks are designed to be usable, adaptable, and grounded in real‑world enterprise work.

My Background

I’ve spent my career inside complex, regulated, and high‑scale environments — from Fortune enterprises and large transformation programs to fast-moving startup disruptors. My experience includes:

  • Enterprise Architecture

  • AI Strategy & Value Governance

  • FinOps & Investment Optimization

  • Operating Model Design

  • Portfolio & Capability Management

  • Executive Advisory

I’m currently a Business Transformation Leader and an active contributor to the emerging discipline of technology yield.

My Books:

Yield-Ops™: The Operating System for Enterprise Value in the AI Era
Exposes the two hidden forces sabotaging organizations from within: The Reporting Industrial Complex and The Activity Economy. One floods leaders with noise. The other rewards motion over outcomes. Together, they create the Value Illusion—the belief that because we are measuring something, we must be measuring the right thing.  Provides a complete playbook to start finding the real value of IT.

Stop Measuring Success, Start Measuring Yield

A practical guide for leaders who want to move beyond output‑based thinking and build organizations that measure — and grow — the real value of technology.
